Kate Boucher is the sadly outgoing very first Artist in Residence at the ever pioneering Fen Ditton Gallery. Based in Wales, she imagined she might miss her native landscape but instead found depth and meaning in the mystery of the Fens. Here her charcoal wizardry has found a stunning subject . Much painted and drawn it seems the last work on the Fens might have been already completed - but with this new artist from an alien region so different from this, her interpretation of this strange river and skyscape we. know as The Fens, has found a new champion.

Some of the most successful charcoal drawings that emerged from her residency are now on show in the Art and Rivers exhibition at Fen Ditton Gallery.
