This surely cannot happen often - the Fitzwiliam Museum, the grandest, the largest and the most magnificent museum in Cambridge threw open its doors.The Malva Voice for Ukraine, led by the honoured artist of Ukraine Tetiana Kysliak filled the rooms with song. In the Fitzwilliam, one amazing room leads to another with massive open arches in between. The choir sang in the prime position - at the top of a sweeping marble staircase where priceless sculptures some thousands of years old, stand guard on the splendid entrance. The Malva Choir of Ukraine stood below a section of beautiful paintings linked by centuries of tradition.

Tetiana Kysliak

Tetiana Kysliak ,clearly the stand-out star of the concert , showed all the skilled professionalism of her life as an artist and performer. Yet she was never intrusive, encouraging yes, and still outstanding, she urged on the amateur, but very talented co-singers . The result was a bright heartening selection of buoyant songs sung by each and every choir member in joyous union, supported by guitar and mandolin
