FANNY VANOYE IN PARIS

Inside the atelier in the cool.

If you are on a trip to Paris in search of a show off the beaten track, bob into the atelier of Fanny Vanoye.

Your invitation is above - and if you are a devoté of abstract art, she is an inspiration. I have followed her for years and the work is a delight - but unknown elsewhere. Take a diversion into St.Germaine and join the Vernissage which opens today . Or simply enjoy a look at French art in the heat. A holiday diversion either way.

Fanny Vanoye lives and works between Villejuif, near Paris, and the island of Yeu on France's Atlantic coast.

Since 2004, her paintings have been exhibited extensively in Paris, particularly on the renowned Rue de Seine, as well as in Port-Joinville, where she runs her gallery and studio. There, she likes to invite fellow visual artists to exhibit alongside her, including Cécile Bonduelle in 2026 and Francis Guerrier the previous summer.

Visitors are also welcome at her Villejuif studio, where she has lived and worked since 2023. This intimate space offers a unique opportunity to step behind the scenes and discover the creative world in which her paintings come to life.

"My painting (see below) never progresses better than when I allow it to guide me. It is about working with whatever emerges and accepting a path shaped by both boldness and uncertainty, because at some unforeseeable moment, the unexpected appears and brings the whole work to its perfect resolution. That is when I know the painting is complete. »
